Corny wada with spicy chutney
Ingredients:
4 Big size Corns (Bhuttas)
2 Table spoons of Moong dal/ Chana dal ( I have used both
in equal quanity)
1 spoon fennel seeds (Saunf)
1 spoon salt
3 green chillies
20 Curry leaves ( Meethi neem)
Onion: 1 medium sized
Fresh Corriander chopped :2 spoons full
Oil for frying
Karvanda Chutney:
1 bunch Coriander
4 Green chillies ( u can reduce if u want a bit bland)
1 medium sized Tomato
5-6 cloves of
Garlic
1 spoon of Cumin seeds
5-6 Carissa Caranda (Karvanda)
Salt to taste
Method:
For Chutney: Mix everything and grind it into a fine paste.
I gave it a desi tadka by grinding it on a traditional Indian Grinding stone ( seel-batta).
For Wadas:Soak the dal for 3 hours. Mix all the ingredients
and grind it in a grinder by adding a little bit of water. U’ll get a fine
paste. Chop the Onion and coriander finely and mix everything in a bowl. Make
medium or small sized wadas and deep fry them till they are golden brown in colour.
Serve it hot with spicy green chutney… A healthy snack for all age groups.Make
this while it rains….U’ll love the
special effect!!
